Boston Red Sox to play at Alll-Star game without Buchholz

Boston Red Sox starting Pitcher Clay Buchholz has been placed on a 15-day disabled list following a left hamstring injury.

According to Yahoo News:

The 25-year-old was named in his first All-Star game after leading the team to a 10-4 record with a 2.45 ERA.

He will be forced to sit out the honorary game with fellow Red Sox All-Stars Dustin Pedroia (foot) and Victor Martinez (thumb).

Major League Baseball has yet to name his replacement.
