I don't think I'm gonna get used to a "brooding" Superman. We already have Batman for that. So the recent release of DC Comic's Graphic Novel on the Man of Steel entitled Superman: Earth One wouldn't be that appealing...well at least for this Superman fan.
According to The Epoch Times:
The limited series is part of the new line of Earth One comics, aimed at reinventing fans’ favorite characters as 21st century young adults.Emo? Angsty? Superman? Oh please...Clark Kent or Kal-el was raised in a small town by loving parents so how could he end up as angsty? Remember he's described as mild-mannered? Geezzz...
Written by J. Michael Straczynski and illustrated by Shane Davis, the novel retells Superman’s origin, portraying the Man of Steel as a 21-year-old looking for meaning in the digital age.
The newly-released images have met a mixed reception, with website ScreenCrave describing the moody young superhero as “emo” and “angsty,” dressed in a hooded jacket with smoldering red eyes and untidy hair.
This is one Superman version that I'm not holding my breath for...
