Nicole Kidman is heading back to Broadway in 2011 after a 12-year absence to star in Tennessee Williams' "Sweet Bird of Youth".
According to UPI.com:
Kidman will play Alexandra Del Lago, "an aging, drunken and sexually voracious movie star," the New York Post reported Friday.The play will be produced by Scott Rudin and directed by David Cromer. No actor has yet been named to play the male lead, gigolo Chance Wayne, a role originated on Broadway by Paul Newman in 1959.
